Donate a Christmas gift and make a child’s Christmas special

The News & Mail Christmas Challenge for Challengers is underway. Challengers is a charity that provides play schemes for children and young people with disabilities. The Guildford-based organisation has had a local scheme in St James Avenue in Farnham since 2007. The Challenge is to have gifts for the children and to use in the centre at Christmas.

If you would like help, the suggested gifts are: role play toys, dressing up costumes, puzzles, arts and crafts, colouring stationery, board games, DVDs, cook books, toy vehicles and nail varnish and lip balm for the girls.

Unwrapped gifts (so that they can be matched to a suitable child) can be dropped off at the Council Offices in Farnborough Road up until the end of Thursday December 4th. They will be wrapped and given to the children at the Challengers Christmas party.
